Hello, I've been lurking here for awhile, have posted a couple of times, but mostly I have gained a lot of useful information and enjoyed seeing a lot of beautiful guitars! So I thought it was about time I introduced myself.

My name is Kip, I live in Olympia WA, and have just recently retired from the fire service. I've hacked around on my acoustic since high school (Indianapolis) but never really got beyond an intermediate level. I just started playing electric a couple of years ago and it really grabbed me! It's just so satisfying to crank it up and make noise! Which brings me around to my guitars; three PRS's, one Baja Telecaster. (No pic of the Fender 'cause well......it's not a PRS)

Here is my most recent; arrived Mon.

SE Hollowbody Standard McCarty Sunburst

Also have

SE 245 Tobacco Sunburst

And last but not least

SE Paul's Guitar Fire Red (planning on selling to help finance the Hollowbody)

These are all fantastic guitars! I read about problems people have had with SE line instruments, but my experience has been nothing but good. All of these came with outstanding workmanship and finishes. I've played a couple S2's at a local music shop, and can honestly say my SE's hold their own against them. They've quelled my yearnings for a core guitar (at least for now).

Anyway, thanks for all the info and guitar porn over the past couple of years.

Great looking trio! Welcome. Little north of you in Snohomish.

Welcome Hoosier, from the state know for its pizza (if you would believe some members here )

That’s a great lineup! I love my SE Hollowbody, and also have a 06 SE Custom that’s been through hell and still plays like a champ, never any problems for me.

Also looks like you’re a VW fan - I’ve been driving GTIs for as long as I can remember...
