Beginner help - SE Custom 24 or CE24

The idea that a beginner shouldn’t have nice gear is... foreign to me, to put it kindly.

I tried to buy a Helix from someone last summer. In conversation, I mentioned I’d only been playing for six months. He turned into a jerk really fast, saying he wouldn’t sell it to me. “This is not beginner gear! You have no business owning this unless you’re gigging!” Uh, I’ll find another person to give my money to, space cadet.

Whatever a person wants is what they want. There’s no harm in it.
thats a pretty messed up experience sorry to hear that

So I missed a few CE deals and found a 35th anniversary se custom 24 at a price I couldn't let go. Got it delivered its basically brand new plastic still on it no marks. Will run it till I find the CE that makes me go I need that one.....

Out of curiosity has anyone replaced the Tunners? Im looking for all black drop in's also what's the preferred stings gauge and string everyone is running

Great guitar. The se 35th is the best stock se I've played.

Black tuners I'd look at hipshot, and I run 10s instead of stock 9s.

ha. Fair enough. Well I thought it would be east but can’t figure out how to post pics yet here
I feel your pain lycokayaker! The forum is NOT user friendly for pix, and I intend on making a new post, with a video, to try to help new users (and some old users) with this issue. And note, I have only been a member since Feb '21, and have been a programmer for 25 years, and I had trouble with some of it's details. I will get you the link once I make that post. In the time being, here are some things to look for/do:

1. Image MUST be hosted at a https site (NOT an http site). The difference is, the "s" on the end stands for secure, and pictures that are not from a secure site will show up for some people in some browsers, but not for other people in other browsers.
2. You are NOT uploading pictures to the site. You are simply giving them a link to where the picture lives, and they display it here on the site. Unlike your avatar, they will not host our pix for several reasons.
3. Image MUST end with a .jpg, .png or .gif extension. So https://moondogwily.com/images/MoondogWily_BW_Logo_05.png will work, but https://share.icloud.com/photos/02EENgzQd5PvvgjGhLNYr1DHg would not. The second one here can produce a link to the picture, but it will not post the pic itself in your post.
4. And be sure you are using the "Image" icon in the formatting options at the top of the post edit box to insert your picture(s). When you click on that icon (looks like a mountain with sun in a frame - 6th from left in current available icons) you will paste in your link. You should see picture right away after clicking the "Insert" button. If you do not see your pic after clicking that, something is not right.

Let me know if you have any specific questions and I will be happy to help!

Cheers~

All good Bill. Did not think you were digging at anyone. Here is a link ( https://forums.prsguitars.com/threads/sharing-pictures-on-prs-forum.47818/ ) to the post I just created. There is both a video and a PDF I created to help people out with this issue. If you come across anyone else wondering how to do this (post pix), please forward this link to them so that they can try and get this going on. If anything seems confusing, let me know and I will update as necessary.

Cheers~
