2013 PRS Experience CU24 Swamp Ash Limited. We can bash GC all we want, but this showed up, price was decent and I snatched her up. I have ZERO impulse control...

Sound-wise, I am VERY happy - CEs being my perennial favorite, all of that lovely swamp ash and maple make this a very lively guitar. It retains much of the spark that I enjoy with my HFS/VB CEs, but the 57/08s are obviously more defined. The singles combined with the buckers in 2 & 4 I am sure contribute significantly toward filling things out as well. And I absolutely LOVE the feel of the neck on this, it is my first PRS maple neck and my first pattern thin.

Here you go Carl, thought you might want to see a couple shots of it in action!

How did it end up at GC?

It was a trade in, found it during my daily internet exploits.

Wow, nice one!!! Haven't seen a lot of those.

I think there were 30 made altogether, read somewhere that 15 were available domestically. I honestly thought it was a joke when I saw the pic on the GC used site. I thought it was a double-joke when I looked up the PRS website page on it and it looked like the same damn guitar. I knew I was done at that point.

BTW Brian thanks for the pics - that is indeed her - your sticker is on the back of the hang tag, and your XPRS13 product pass is also still in the case :)

I really do love your style.

I really do love your style.

Why thanks...

In reading my quote, I do realize that I meant to write that it was my first "NEW-SCHOOL" PRS maple neck or something to that affect. All of my CE's have WT maple necks (obviously) & rosewood boards. This one, in all of it's lovely front and back flaminess, is my first one with a maple board, and is also unfinished (or finished below the surface or whatever they call it) and feels amazing...similarly addictive to my 408 Brazzy.

The Pattern Thin feels less different to the WT than the Pattern feels to the WF. You could probably blindfold my hands between a PT/WT and they would not notice. With the Pattern you can definitely feel a bit more of a "V" which I do like.

That's a nice plank right thar!!!

Yeah, the finished below the surface necks are KILLER. My Brent Mason sig has it as well. Really makes you feel connected with the guitar when you're playing IMO.

Beautious. An impulse buy at a GC when I was pickup up strings was what got me started on PRS in the first place...
