My bass was playing fine yesterday. Got up this morning to play and now, the E string vibrates bad when I play the 1st fret through the 3rd fret. Also the A and D string vibrates on the 3rd fret. What happened?! The neck isn't warped I dont think. I don't thing I need to adjust the tremolo either.

It is hard to give you any specific suggestion since you don't mention (*1) how the guitar has been stored, (*2) whether or not you've changed strings recently, and (*3) also exactly what type of vibrating sound you're referring to.

Is it possible that you're talking about string buzz. And if so, (*4) is there no buzzing at all beyond the third fret?

(*1) The guitar has been in storage at a pawn shop for about two weeks. I do not know the conditions of the storage room at the shop.
(*2) I have not personally changed the strings. I do not know if the previous owner even changed the strings or not.
(*3) I was talking about fret buzz.
(*4) There was no buzzing beyond the 3rd fret.
I adjusted the trust rod and it solved the buzzing problem. But now the strings are too far away from the fretboard. What do you suggest I do about the string gap?
