Bad string squeak

I just bought a new Cu22 (first PRS) and I'm having issues with what I would consider to be pretty bad string squeak, especially coming from the D string. It's almost like sliding your fingers on the string produces crazy loud harmonics. It's bad enough that it hurts my ears when I'm playing. I've never had this issue from any of my other guitars and I've tried the guitar in different amps and using different pedals to see if it was just behaving strangely with my amp. About the only thing that seems to help is turning the tone knob down most of the way. Could just be my crappy technique, but like I said, I don't have this issue on any other of my guitars. Any idea what might me going on? Thanks!

It's most likely the strings. Try changing them to what you normally play on your other guitars...

Hmm, I use Ernie Balls and the first thing I did was put a set on. Gonna go try a set of Elixirs. I'm told the coating helps with the string squeak. It's a fantastic instrument other than that though!
