Oct 14, 2013 #4 [assume Mac OS] Make sure it is upright in iPhoto and then export it as a jpeg File>Export... Open it in Preview to check it's orientation. If it isn't correct, rotate it in Preview. Tools>Rotate Right (or Left)... Save and then upload as your avatar. [/assume]
