hey guys, i found a japanese shredder guitar in my local trash and am trying to give it a shot. aside from being too pointy, it has a floyd rose (’with the locking nut’ as blackmore says) and when i tune it up the strings keep going flat as the bridge just tilts up away from the body, as if the claw screws/springs are too loose for standard tuning. i‘m not a trem person really but have had a couple and never seen anything like this.

any full time wangbar kang got some advice?

(and yes i’m just going to sell it and get another prs anyway.)

Sounds like someone made the classic mistake of removing all the strings at once and let the Floyd sink..

but the fulcrums are on the posts, isn’t a sunk one when they’re off and the bridge is down in the recess?
