a vote for snake is really a vote for john carpenter, which is a strong vote, and kurt russell might win if snake was in ‘the thing’, ‘big trouble in little china’, and ‘overboard’, but he wasn’t.

That's an easy choice IMHO, because Army Of Darkness is a much better movie than Escape From New York.

Now if it was Ash vs. Jack Burton (i.e. "Battle of the Idiot Heroes"), that's a much harder decision.
