How's this for a simple answer? I won't buy a PRS guitar if it has a rotary switch on it. Period.

3 way toggle for me...
Was a Les Paul guy and just grew up on a toggle.Took a bit to get used to the placement on my DGT but now I actually prefer its location as compared to my LPs.Being a trem guy I find the blades get bumped when I reach for the bar.

I voted blade. I only have blade or toggle on my guitars and have never tried the rotary. I just can't imagine liking the rotary as I wouldn't be able to tell at a glance where I'm at. However, the rotary offers pickup combinations the others don't so what does one do?
My fav is the blade just because it's easy to use and offers great p-up combos but I would love to have a push pull pot to split the bridge and neck p-up.

A push pull on vol and tone pots on a 3 way would be cool too

Rotary all the way. Better sound combinations, better cosmetics, and it won't get knocked out of position if you bump it with your hand.

Toggle. I prefer the sound of the simple 3 way and a coil split push pull pot. I'm a traditionalist in that regard. I come from playing LPs and Teles most of my life pre-PRS so it's just what I'm used to (3 way switch).

I also noticed when I took the rotary out it was like a blanket coming off the amp, everything was clearer and restoring some high end. And I've used blades before on Strats but they just don't do much for me. I'd rather have a push pull for those "other sounds". I'll live with the volume drop (that's why they make boost pedals!).

That said, between rotary and blade, I'd go blade. The rotary was not cool for live fast pickup changes (which I do a lot of, actually).
