Are USA and SE/S2 Trem Arms Iterchangable?

Hey there,
I have a PRS P22 Trem
I really like the feeling of a "tipless" (Floyd Rose-like design) trem arms.
I was thinking, maybe a genuine S2 trem arm would fit? i.e., this one:

I believe the S2 is not compatible with the USA trem. I could be wrong but I think it is a smaller diameter.

Why not just remove the tip on your USA arm?

The SE and S2 trem arms are thinner than the Core model. And the trem bridge mount for the arm doesn't have enough range to allow you to just tighten up the set screw more.

However, you could get some sort of sleeving material (like a small straw, maybe, or similar) to act as a thin bushing, I suppose.

Maybe John Mann could hook you up with something?

There is no screw thread underneath the tip of your US tremolo arm. Just heat it with a heat gun (lowest setting) and the glue will release very quickly. You`ll find it`s as smooth as a baby`s ...... I put wood tips on all my US and SE trem bars. They feel wonderful under the hand, especially if you use the whammy a lot. The arms are definitely NOT interchangeable between the Core and S2 model. Save your money, heat it.
