Are Starla & Vela S2 Pick Ups made by GFS?

I was on another guitar board and someone said that the S2 Starla and Vela pick ups are actually made by GFS? The poster referred to USA Starla pick ups and S2 Starla as imports by GFS. I was not aware of that and wanted to see if anyone knew. Thanks

No, they're made by G&B, who make a ton of pickups for different companies.

GFS pickups are for the majority made in korea by G&B picks. The S2 range of pickups also made by G&B but are designed by PRS(This includes better magnets & coil wire). I.e. The Vela pickups have nickle silver baseplates whereas the standard G&B versions have a brass baseplate. G&B have also the SE range of pickups since at least 2002 (i think the first years SE pickups were a different company.
