I now have my 5th DGT.
It is a very nice 2021 I grabbed used. The split coil taps are ridiculously good. The best they have ever done on a DGT. It sounds a lot like a Tele or Strat but different and better IMO.
The humbuckers are excellent also. The bridge seems a little on the sizzling side.
Might just be this one, or maybe they have juiced them up with the TCI thing whatever the hell that actually is.
I took a peek inside and see the usual resistors on the push/pull pot. There are also other small resistors on the volume pot hot plugs on the B and N pots.
They measure out at:
8.78 B
7.43 N
Split coiltap B 5.86
Split coiltap N – 4.60
Its a great axe. Only weighs 7 lbs 10 oz.
The DC resistance measurements seem to be in the ballpark of other DGTs I have had. I have actually had others that measure out as high as 9.5 on the bridge.
They have maybe done something a little different here. Dunno. I have the pickup height at 8/64 on the Bridge and 6/64th on the Neck to get that more typical vintage DGT tone.
