I saw a CE22 that need some lovin', the guy told me that the CE22 was an "overseas" guitar (because it had no serial number on the headstock, only on the neck plate), but he had no idea where it was made. this guitar looked like it had been around the block a few times, so the pup covers and trem were real dirty. flame top with humbukers .it needs love, but the neck is straight, but the wood is grainy like the necks of squire strats. the neck has shell sidemarkers with moon inlays. is this thing made in USA? is there a certain serial number range that I need t look for? can anyone help me? Thanks

If definitely a CE model, Yes, USA made...great guitars...check the website for serial number identification...should be on the neck plate.
Again, awesome guitars!!

I forgot to mention.. the logo has been removed from the headstock but still has the black face, the neck does have the moon inlays and side markers. I figured the inlays were a dead give-a-way.

Whoa! Go to the store, take pics, and return here before doing anything irrational. Do you clearly see crescent moons rather than just dots on the fretboard? Missing logo and condition should mean a little something. Just wanna make sure you're informed going into your decision.

I got suspicious right away, I checked the neck twice to make sure it had moons and shell sidemarkers. I don't think an aftermarket neck would have those features. I will go back and check it out.

my friend bought a SE Paul Allender model from the U.S. the logo with serial number at the back has no indication on where it is made (i had seen other models that has made in korea printed to it. can somebody tell me where the guitar is probably made?

All SE guitars are from the Korean factory, and they do one hell of a good job on them IMO.
