I have an Archon 50/100, and I blew a fuse -- anyone know what they are? I probably blew it by turning it on, turning it off, flipping it to 100, then turning it back on without waiting long enough. I have it, but I can't read it. The one on the inside middle.

I would hate to think that it's that easy to blow a fuse. Keep an eye on your amp, maybe a power tube on the edge.

Fuses are 2A/250V 10A/250V 10A/250V from L-R looking at the back of the chassis.

Thanks. No idea. Might've been on when I flipped from 50 to 100, but pretty sure I wouldn't've done that. Might've been bad tubes -- I was replacing some burned out ones with EL34s, and they didn't register a voltage drop at all. Going to dig out my tube tester and see if maybe they're bad. Also not sure how to bias this beast, so going to stick with 6L6GCs until I figure that out.

Also, I'm an idiot -- the fuse sockets are very clearly labelled -- the one on the outside, as well as the three internal.

PRS took care of me, though.

For bias, put in 6L6 or EL34 and monitor the bias ports while turning the trim pot (sitting inside the 1/4 phone plug mounted right in front of the power tubes inside the grille) until you measure 30mV.

Thanks for that, yeah, I found Hangar18's post elsewhere that said the same thing. I wasn't expecting one trim pot -- I used to bias a Manley Stingray, which had individual trimpots for each of 8 EL84s. Maddening, but I guess it matters more in audiophilia. Will give it a shot...right now, actually. If I'm not back immediately, don't worry, it probably means it worked and now I'm playing.
