Greetings all, I am new to the forum and am excited to be part of the family. I just ordered an Archon and in anticipation of its arrival I am reconfiguring my pedalboard to accommodate the Archon footswitch. Can anyone give me the dimensions of the footswitch?
Thanks.

I dont have one in front of me to measure but its very small

Yea, getting the pedalboard ready. I'm super stoked about getting my new Archon! Unfortunately it's backordered until sometime in July. I am coming out of a ten year musical hiatus and am adjusting to all the new technology that has come out in the last decade. I am currently playing through a first gen Carvin V3 that I bought from a buddy of mine and I just hate it. I have always had a very simplistic approach to my gear and the Carvin just does too much stuff. I like the simplicity of the Archon, not to mention the quality.

Yea man, I cant wait! I haven't even played through one yet. I decided to go with the Archon after months of research on just about every amp out there. I had I narrowed down to a Mesa Mark V an Orange TH100 an the Archon.

I haven't played the Archon yet, but based on what I've heard in clips, I think you made a great choice.

I had a Mark V, and I loved it and think it's a great amp, but I think the Archon eclipses it.

Also, I find PRS amps to be quieter at idle, with better clean sound and warmer ODs. I have a DG30 and an HXDA, two single channel amps that really do it for me. Enjoy that thing when it comes!

For the same reason you kicked the Carvin to the curb, you probably wouldn't like the MkV. It's a tweak-beast, though a really nice one. The PRS designs don't have any/many switches and make tone shaping very straight forward. The Recording amp and HXDA have the most toggle features (I believe) and it's still pretty easy to dial in a sound. You should have no trouble in this regard with the Archon.

I almost bought the TH 100 due to it being the ultimate in simplicity, and I kind of figured the Mesa was a tweaker. I think the Archon is going to have the best of both, being able to tweak when I feel the need but not having to over tweak to find the right tone. I'll post a review when it comes.
I think I'll start a new thread so that you guys can help me decide on a new cab and speakers.
