Hey guys,

Any of you try the Revv amps like the new Gen MK III?

It was the main amp I looked at before buying the Archon.

I think I will grab the Revv G2 and G4 pedals to go with my Archon. It will be cool having both flavors.

Used Revv amps were more expensive and I like the plug n play simplicity of the Archon and how it takes pedals.

I was real close to getting a Revv 100 R Gen Mk III. They seem dryer and more tight. Archon seems bigger and meaner

Revv G3 is a sick pedal, fantastic for heavy rhythm tones. Very, very tight and dry. That's the only Revv pedal I've used.

I should say I played the G4 next to the Bogner Burnley and felt the Burnley was more amp like and fatter.
Too dry for me as are most Revv tones.
Awesome if you like that.
I like juicier rhythm tones. Not quite Bogner, but not dry either. Somewhere in the middle.
Same reason I sold the Fryette amps I owned.
I'm not a big fan of the Revv sound. Seems too generic to my ears and lacks an organic quality, like the Archon.
Sort of tight and stiff, where the Archon is huge and breathes.

As far as Bogner amps, I got sick of the Shiv and Uber. Played Bogner for years and tired of them.
My Mesa amps kicked my Bogner a to the curb.
Excited about the Archon now

That said, I like the Burnley and Wessex v2.
