I kept the amp on all day yesterday and all morning and afternoon on the lead channel and it's dead quiet. Like, crazy quiet considering how much gain these things pump out.

That's how my PRS amps have been from Day 1, and they're still just as quiet on Day 4,015.

Doug Sewell knows what he's doing.

Whoever in China made that wire did not know what they were doing.

A quick follow up to the previous update. I've left the amp on overnight and through the next day, playing it frequently throughout (of course...) and its still quiet in both channels. So I think it is safe to say they caught the issue! Finally, I can get back to enjoying this amp (both its crushing lead channel and its unicorn clean channel) and cranking out the tunes!

As a side bonus, I scored a bunch of free tubes through out this ordeal, which is always nice to have...
