Huh? SEs have always been 2 piece book matched maple, as are all Core models. Every once in a while, a one piece top shows up, but they're very unusual.
The SEs are veneer, of course, and the Core models are solid maple. But the look is the same, and the tops are two pieces of wood.
The bookmatching of the top is the traditional way to do things, going back to early Gibsons.
I looked real hard at my 2 other SE guitars (flashlight) and you are absolutely correct.. Thank you for the reply.. The other ones blend perfect.. This one has a darker piece in the horn.. cant post a pic yet or else I would have.. but thanks for the reply..
