Anyone tried to slap some P90s in a SE Zach Myers?

What was the outcome? I hate to say it but I think I am in the market for replacing my LPs this year... or maybe get something in the Casino territory!!!

A McCarty soap bar would be the holy grail but let's be realistic here... :(

I don't have a Zach, but I did put a set of Kinman Noiseless HB sized P90s in a Sc(94. Love them! I say, go for it!

Bareknuckle and other companies (Fralin, I believe) have humbucker sized P90s, dew et!

The Fralins are called P92's, I believe. The sound samples on the net are really good. They'd be a straight and easy transfer. If I didn't have a killer SE Singlecut with 2 P90's, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I'm thinking you should head the other way. If you are going to offload one or more LP's (I may be reading too much into that statement), that McSoapy is well within reach.

Not the ones I have. I would still be way short. Plus, I would want to get rid of them without getting to know the new comer enough to know that it is worthy of replacing them.

After 3 months I decided to experiment. I wanted to change things up and see if I would enjoy something new for me…humbucker sized P90s. I installed some Fralin hum cancelling p90 pickups. My goodness. My only regret is not doing this earlier. Crushes in the Zach Myers. Enthusiastic hell yes for this thread.

I put Zhangbucker HB sized P-90's in my Santana SE, and will never go back.

I had a double cut LP Special 2 rod magnet P-90's. I loved the sound of it. But, the neck was a touch thin, front to back, for me. The Santana is it's replacement, but I missed my P-90S pickups.

I contacted David, over at Zhangbucker. He wound ma a neck P-90 with rod magnets and a bridge pickup with regular screw poles. He also laid some mojo in and ran them a touch hot. They are super touch sensitive, sound fantastic and have made my Santana a lifetime guitar.

But, I really like P-90 pickups....
