Has anyone done either a certificate or degree course from Berklee Online before? I'm looking at potentially doing one of their guitar or music theory oriented certificate courses just to try it out. They're a little bit pricey at around 1500 for a 12 week course, but I figure if they're good, I'll take something away and could potentially go on to do a full bachelors degree through the online through one course at a time. I've tried a sample guitar course through them already which has been pretty good so far, but want to get some other opinions if anyone has experience. I'm looking at local college courses too, but it gets trickier with commuting after work and them not being as guitsr oriented.
I've been playing guitar for a while now, but dont have a guitar teacher and have never played live before. I've actually had a piano teacher for a few years and enjoy learning about music theory, so I figure why not look into a degree course if it helps improve my guitar playing, I can afford it, and I can get a certificate/degree at the same time? I know a certificate/degree will at least help If I want to give music lessons later in life. Berklee seemed to be one of the more legit online places.
