Heres the deal. I have a santana SE. I like the pups but it doesn't have coil splitting. I know how to make a 2 conductor humbucker splittable, but the pickups are pretty low output and one thing i have learned is that when a humbuker is low output, splitting them is a crap shoot in respect to whether one coil will have enough output to be worth using like that. Some do even with fairly low resistance, others just sound too weak. So before i do it i wanted to find out....what is the DC resistance of some of the the splittable models in the SE line? Anyone know that or know where i can find that info? I figure if any are the same resistance as mine they are likely the same pickups with added wires for whatever marketing reason they had to do that on some models and not on others. Chances are good tho that the splittable ones are higher DCR than mine. But i need to find out.
