Since the crack on the cap is getting bigger and bigger, I asked customer support if I can get another one from local dealer.
Then they just asked my address and FedEx me a new one.
Kudos to Matt from customer support team!

Nice. Just ordered a replacement on eBay yesterday for $10, found this forum this morning. Same thing with mine; changed pickups and the cap fell to the floor neatly broken in half.

You should have emailed Customer Service. They would have sent you a free one.

I had the same issue today. PRS is sending me one as well. I wish I could get a chrome one, though.

I also had the issue a while ago. I asked PRS customer service about it and they said they had a bad batch of selector switch tips. I have a gold and black so PRS sent me two. The first broke months ago and the second flew off last week, so I just put the replacement on. The new ones do feel a little different, not as brittle or hard.
