Anyone here own a Modern Eagle III with Narrowfields??

Hi all....

Anyone here own the Modern Eagle III with the 3 Narrowfield pickups?

I think this configuration was only done during the 25th Ann year.

I am particularly curious how the NF's sound in the mahogany/maple combo.

Can it get "thick" like a full-sized humbucker?

I own the Swamp Ash NF...but that's swamp ash with a maple neck/board.

The ME3 looks to be a completely different animal....


Any and all comments would be of great help!

I don't have one, but have played a NF Studio (maple on hog) a bunch. They are a good match. I wouldn't say they are a thick as a full humbucker, but they have a bit of bite to them--more upper mids, to my ear.
