Anyone have experience with the original Studio model?

Hey everyone,

I have my eye on an older studio model (the one with 2 Fralin single coils and humbucker) that is pretty unique and I’m really considering it. However, I am having a tough time finding info on those older models. Plus they hardly ever come up for sale.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I had one at the house for a month or so that I ultimately passed on, but only because of condition. They’re rad guitars! Especially if you dig the features of the older guitars: smaller heel, reduced headstock angle, rotary, etc.

I wouldn’t hesitate to own one.

I’ve played them, really like them, just haven’t had the opportunity to purchase one in the condition/color I would want. On my bucket list.

Thanks Sergio! I figured you would have some first hand knowledge of them. I really like the versatility and just uniqueness of them too.

I had one and loved it. Sounded really good. it felt like a typical older PRS, which is to say great, but sound wise it rocked. Single coils were fantastic.
