Anyone else a Phase II/Phase III tuner snob?

Whenever window shopping, I can't seem to help it, but I don't even consider PRSi or other brands with wings or Klusons. Just seems like such a hassle to deal with now. Are vintage tuners a deal breaker for anyone else?

Depends on if they are lockers or not.
I am getting Tonepro Kluson lockers put on my SE Zack Myers when it arrives, even though Phase IIIs will fit it with a reaming of the shaft hole.

I only run lockers on all of my guitars.

Not a deal breaker but lockers are so easy to use and hold tuning great.

Not a problem at all. All my Fenders, my Lesters and most of my other guitars (including my McCarty's), have Vintage Tuners. If you do a proper string wrap, they're rock solid...

I have phase 2 on my PRS and they are the best tuners ive ever tried.
On Fender guitars i like Klusons.

For most of my Kluson equipped guitars, I put Gotoh Kluson locking tuners for quickness/ease of use. They stay in tune well.

I really like the Phase II and Phase III tuners, they are solid and make re-stringing easy, but I'm not opposed to non-locking tuners.

I put these on my McCarty but I don't like them as much as Phase II. I would like to sell them and try the tone pros. I like being able to tighten string with my fingers and bring to pitch quickly.

I won't pass on a PRS because of winged tuners as long as PRS keeps selling Brass post Phase IIs.

I love the Phase IIIs on my recent Cu24, like them far better than Phase IIs. I'm really not loving the Klusons that I have on my SC and McCarty (too much slop), so maybe I should check out those Gotohs.

Oh, and because it's obligatory: Winged Phase IIIs! Winged Phase IIIs!!

one reason I like say a McCarty 58 over a standard McCarty. the 58 has the phase 3 and the standard has vintage. I just don`t like them so ya be a deal breaker for me when you can buy a model with tuners I like.
