Hey Guys,
So here's the deal...I just saved every penny of my overtime $ to grab a new SE Mark Holcomb, and would absolutely love to throw in a set of phase II/III tuners. I have a usa nut ready to go, and this baby needs a set of USA tuners...this is going to be one of my #1 guitars as I'm in a band right now playing in drop c... I know we have no classifieds section here, but I'm taking a shot in the dark to see if anyone here has an old set laying around.... I have a Brand new Digitech Trio (in the box) with the optional footswitch that allows you to use the pedal to its full potential. I bought it for about $200 a few months back but only used it once or twice. It's sitting there in the box and needs someone who will get more use out of it. It's an awesome pedal...so if anyone happens to need a (free) Digitech trio, I could also use a (free) set of tuners!
Hope this thread is ok, if not please delete and I apologize for any rule breaking...
Thanks!

I'll give him a call and get some info! Thanks for the advice..I'm on a tight budget, putting the wife through school so I need an inexpensive way to get some great tuners on it. I definitely want to stay with all Prs parts, as I think the phase II & III are among the best tuners out there.

If you want to stick with PRS parts, John Mann is the way to go (way cheaper than a set of Phase II, and no re-drilling). Otherwise, I recommend the Grover 406 keys.

I don't recall what John is charging. If you can't swing it, I've got a brand new set of Gold Phase III's I'll gift you. Not sure how that gold would look on the Holcomb though.

Wow bodia, that's extremely generous of you. Im actually a sucker for gold...if this is something your totally cool with doing, then I'll gift you this, as well as some other goodies I'll throw in. It's a really fun pedal and needs a good home. That would be a tremendous help with my current situation and i would be glad to repay the favor in the future in any way I can.

Sofaking rad of the both of you!
PIII's won't work without plugging and re-drilling the tuner holes in that SE though. :( They've got those lil' bushings of a smaller diameter than the holes in the headstock. PII's might be the best way to go unless you're really committed to a project.

I've already got a Trio, and the extra pedal. They look just like yours...in the box. I'm not looking to do a deal. Well, kind of. I am willing to give you these on two conditions:
1) you post before, during, and after pics of the mod/upgrade cuz that's like porn around here.
2) you "pay it forward." You know, do something nice, and unexpected for someone....buy a stranger a cup of coffee, thank a cop/firefighter for laying it on the line everyday, buy a vet lunch, help an old lady across the street, etc. You also have to post said good deed when you post the pics of the upgrade.

If you can meet those conditions, PM your addy and I will send them your way.

Sergio brings up a good point. You'll need to enlarge the holes though, not fill and re-drill. At least if they're like my Bernie. I used a quarter inch drill bit to ream out the holes so the PIII bushings would fit. I also had to drill new mounting holes to mount the tuners. Your call. If you're ok with doing this, let me know and I'll ship them out.

You have my word...but before I take this on, can anyone else chime in about the phase 3 tuner conversion before I take this project on? I have no problem drilling out the holes a bit, and making new holes in the back for the screws, but if it requires plugging and re drilling that might be a little more work than i could take on at the moment..I am a carpenter, but my entire life is packed in a storage facility as I'm in between homes at the moment, crammed in a small apartment so I have no room to take on that type of project. I know with the Bernie/Zach Myers the tuner holes are a bit smaller due to the smaller vintage style tuners, so I'm curious if anyone has done this to their SE before?

Ack! That's a good point about the Klusons. I didn't even think about it. In that case, I fear Sergio may be correct.
