ANYBODY HAVE a MACKIE DL1608 IPAD MIXER?

Yes, been using it for about six months. So far it's been great; for a live performance situation (my gigs consist of trios up to a dozen pieces) the 1608
has been super convenient, no issues, tweakable with an iPad or iPhone...

I first used one at a clinic and was immediately sold on the flexibility of it, bought one and have had no regrets.

Thanks Jay; good to know! I didn't realize you could use an IPhone, too.

I looked into one but the recording options are far too limited - two channel mix isn't enough. We use the Presonus Studio Live mixers. We've been using a 16.4.2 in a big rack case for years. A while back I snagged a 16.0.2 for a grab-n-go mixer. Now we only use the 16.4.2 rack rig for larger and outdoor shows.

My biggest concern with the Mackie mixers are the Onyx mic preamps - I had a couple all analog Onyx-based boards years ago and those things did not sound good at all. In fact, I switched from an Onyx based board to the 16.4.2 and the sound was immediately better the moment I plugged it in with factory defaults. The other smaller Onyx board was replaced with an equivalent Yamaha MG series mixer and it was also an immediate improvement. I hope the newer Onyx based stuff sounds better.

The Behringer X32 stuff looks very promising. Rather than just rip everyone off like they have in the past, they bought Midas and have done some nice innovating on their own. A buddy of mine has spent some time with the X32 and says the thing sounds fantastic. I used a Midas Venice board a couple times and it was fantastic so if Behringer has managed to hang on to some of that Midas goodness they could have an amazing product lineup.
