Anybody ever switch around their bridge pickup?

So the screw poles are facing away from the bridge?

I'm thinking of doing this with my new SC250. I generally like my bridge pickup and neck pickup to be close to each other in output; maybe the bridge a wee bit hotter, but pretty close. The 250 Bridge pickup seems WAY hotter and more aggressive toned than the neck, even with the neck pup raised up and the bridge pup dropped way down. Like I said, I don't mind the bridge having a bit more bite and snarl than the neck, but this is too much.

I would expect turning the poles around would lessen some of the highest treble which might soften the tone a bit, but I guess I'll find out...

I did it once and only for one time on my 513. I've been told that flipping around offers a more snappier tone, more bite. That's true. But then I didn't like position 2 (combination of treble and middle pickup). Flipped back to status quo ante.

I flipped it yesterday on the SC250. The tone is definitely different; there's an almost Tele-like quality to the bridge now -fatter of course- and it's definitely less piercing and 'in-your-face', so somehow that makes the bridge and neck seem closer output-wise than they were, which is what I was hoping for.

It did change the middle position too, making it maybe a bit less 'open' and a bit more 'nasal'...it doesn't sound like you would expect the middle position to sound, it's almost more like a third middle humbucker...sort of...kind of interesting.

But I'm liking the bridge tone, so I'm going to keep it this way for a bit.
