We have talked about what we've let go and what we want but not really touch base on what we can't part with .

Mine is my DGT with m pickups. Love that guitar and has special meaning to it.

Right now my cu24 and my Ce22 are guitars I will take to the grave. My McCarty was a gift from my wife and will stay as well.

My:

PS (SCHB w/Ziricote neck)
Santana Brazilian
Cu24 AP
Starla one-off (core)
Archtop Jazz

Other than those, they're all expendable! I've actually owned a bunch of others over the years, but distilled them down to this group of 'go to my grave' pieces.

My HB12 and two of my Starlas - one PS and one Core but 1 of only 5 with solid rosewood necks.

Swampy 513. Wedding present from Mrs. Bebop....

DGT Standard.... just too gorgeous inside and out....

plus these two would be very hard to replace.....the others are much more common models.

So far I've managed to part with all the ones I said in the past I'd never part with, so I don't want to push it by announcing more. ;)

Pretty much what I have now...

Although I'm considering selling my 57/08 SC to pick up a SC Ted...

408 Standard w/IRW neck. Had to risk a restraining order from Eric Martin at Experience the year I got it, and I'm sure he got tired of the semi-panicked e-mails from me that weekend. It was the first PRS I'd found with a finish date on my birthday - and it was on a table marked NOT FOR SALE. But I heard an employee tell someone else to talk to their dealer, and my wife said, "Go." There was a small bit of confusion because there was a second one in the same configuration (but with a different finish date). But Eric nailed it for me.

Adding to the angst? It was the talk of the forum that weekend, and I was sworn to secrecy about it.

My SC HB II isn't going anywhere (I still haven't taken my own photos):

Any time I start to thinking I'd trade my 513, I spend a couple hours with it and realize how special it is:

When I go to the Great Blues Jam in the sky, my sons will be able to fight over my Private Stock and my ME1.

My HBII. Ordered it in 2002 and can't see myself parting with it until I'm old and start liquidating all my earthly possessions.

My Pomegranate PS is going to be with me for a long, long time. My Walnut semi hollow LTD is also an insane guitar, and it would only go to help fund another PS with similar specs. If at all possible, it will go nowhere either. (Those are my only PRSs)

I had to let go of three of them this past year BECAUSE I couldn't part with them -- DGT Goldtop, CU24 "Angry Larry" and 513 Black Sunburst. Letting them go gives me a chance to appreciate the remaining ones more.
