I don't know about the neck, but going from a Dragon I bridge to the Dragon II was a major disappointment. We put the DII into the bridge of one of my cousin's Les Pauls and it really sounded great there. Nice and fat without being muddy.

Significant difference between D1’s and D2’s trebles. The D1 neck is my favorite of all time. Nice A4 non muddy neck that splits very well. (It’s basically an uncovered McCarty neck pickup)

I have only had them in one guitar, my CU22. They have been on the shelf for many years. I took advantage of the PTC promotion in 2009 and had them changed over to 57/08s. I like those pickups in that guitar much, much better. To me the DIIs were a bit harsh on the top end and just didn't care for them overall.
