Hi all, I am brand new to the forum. I could not find info on this guitar that is to my satisfaction. I took a few pictures, it has a serial number which is not stamped but rather looks written in marker underneath the glaze. The serial number has a space after the first digit, followed by six digits (7 digits total). The number is '7 12xxxx'. The 'x' represents a digit. The guitar has gold finish, and the headstock is covered in a thin layer of what looks like Brazilian rosewood. The fretboard is more of this type of rosewood. The neck is not a bolt on. It has the bird design inlays. I am happy to answer any questions about this guitar to the best of my knowledge.

I had the guitar set up by a pro, he said it was a CE-24. But I am not sure, the CE-24 I see have bolt on necks, and according to PRS it should be a 7 followed by 5 digits, not six. Other PRS CE-24's I have seen on eBay don't look like this one, they have silver finish and a stamped serial number, not the ink serial on this guitar. I can post more pics as well. Thanks everyone for your help!

You're right, its not a CE- its a Custom 24 Artist Package in Blue Matteo :)

The artist package includes the gold hardware upgrade, the rosewood headastock veneer and beautiful paua inlays!

Yep, it's an Artist Cu24 made in 2007. Artist guitars just sound better! :) Mine is Emerald green and was made in 2006, a thousand guitars or so before yours. You got a great guitar.

Thanks, it sure seems like a great guitar, looks like a 10 top but there is no 10 marking, so not sure. 9.5 top maybe?

no, go the other way, they don't mark the tops on Artist guitars as a 10 top because they are rated better than a 10. They are between 10 tops and Private Stock grade.

Well I just bought this guitar off of eBay. I noticed that the pictures were identical to the ones that were in the eBay listing. Serial number starts the same, too. I just happened to search for blue Matteo and found this thread!

Nice Catch!!! I bet it sounds great too!!

Thanks I just got it yesterday. It's a little beat up but gorgeous. I was surprised at how green it is in person. Best top I've ever seen on any guitar! Plays great, too.
