Any CE24 DW - Dustie Waring owners out there?

Howdy! The DW neck is described at thinner than the normal PRS CE Thin, that has me a bit concerned. I find the normal CE Thin to be about perfect for me, a little thinner "might" work but I'm not sure I want to drop $2500 only to find out this thing is just a notch above an Ibanez Wizard.

Does anyone have direct experience? Or better yet, actual 1st and 12th fret measurements?

How about "tone," maple/maple neck, maple capped body and a Floyd is the guitar overly bright or does it balance out better than you might expect?

As much as I like the setup and looks of the grey DW model I'm leaning towards getting a regular CE just to be safe.

Thanks!

Can't help with neck measurements but I still have a couple floyd equipped guitars and while I love a floyd trem I love quick string changes more on the prs trem.

The other part of this is drop tuning. A D-tuner device can be added to a floyd but not to a prs trem. A tremelo no can be added to the prs trem but I have not used one so I don't know how handy the are.

My old band did a couple of drop D songs and it does put you slightly out of tune with the rest of the band when using stock prs trem with no mods.

It drove me nuts so we stopped doing those.

Good point on the drop D and a Floyd, I hadn't thought about that with a stock PRS CE Trem.

I just dig the looks and setup (switch/knob) placement on the DW, it looks like a perfectly sorted, PRS quality, Floyd equipped Monster Rock Machine! BUT if the neck is too thin it becomes and expensive "bust" purchase and when you can almost get 2 CE's for the price of this one... ;)

I'm not very sensitive to neck thickness but I really can't tell a difference between the DW CE neck and my normal CE24 neck. I did have a jp6 that's neck was too thin for me so it's at least thicker than that.

As for it's sound I think it sounds phenomenal but the pickups are very high output so it just wants to play rock and metal all the time. The Floyd is fun to mess around with and has held tuning just fine but you do have to decide what tuning you want to use and stick to it.
