Both of these are recent PRS guitars listed as Antique White. And while I do realize that photography skills/environment/etc... can vary tremendously.... what's an Antique White PRS gonna look like? White? Cream? Yellow in a couple years? Stark white forever? (sorry about the pic size, I couldn't figure out how to resize)

I was first going to say that I don't think the first one is Antique White - compare the color vs the toggle switch tip. I would have thought that is Jet White or something.

But a Google search shows that Antique White is a relatively pure white a lot of the time.

Now it is possible the PRS S2 Antique White is a "different" color from the Core model Antique White, for whatever reason the S2 version seems a little more crème colored. The Core version is almost Jet White is most of the photos I've seen.

Or maybe it is all in the lighting and color balance of the camera. I did a quick copy-paste into GIMP (a free Photoshop alternative), and could easily get the first guitar to look like the second one by adjusting the color balance.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect the same color name to look that different between Core & S2 lines...

Interesting.... can't answer your question, but to add to the confusion, here's a few different pictures of my DGT standard (all the same guitar..)

Goes to show how much lighting and photo processing can effect this gorgeous color....

I'd call it off-white. I doubt it will yellow much over time unless you're a heavy smoker.

Sweetwater always has great pics. The S2 inlays are a stark white, so you can see how the paint has a touch of yellow to it.

A couple of their pics of core guitars look a bit whiter, though. I think it's just a tricky color to photograph.

I can't speak to the core line, but I've seen the Antique White S2 24 in person and it's definitely an off-white color, as it appears in garrett's pics.

This! I have an AW DGT as well and have the same results as these pictures. I also have an '89 strat that looks bright white in pictures. Hanging on an "off white" painted wall, it looks a little closer to the color of the wall than bright white. Sit it next to a white dresser and it looks nothing like bright white, but like a 26 year old white guitar should look like...Antiquey!

I see gold in the first pic and blue in the second one.

Different light makes for a different color. Looking at photos on the internet wont help. Looks different all the time! Heres my antique white guitar:

Can we agree that IN PERSON the S2 antique white is different from the core Antique White? All these S2 guitars look totally different...
