(New Vela Day)

As mentioned in @aphantomvapor 's "VELA!" thread a couple weeks back, I picked up another Vela recently to replace the Vintage White one I somewhat reluctantly sold back when to help finance my EXP2018 SSH purchase... And I finally got around to taking a couple of half-decent pics:

I love the colour, I love the neck, I love the TONES... I think I might even like this one better than my first one (and I liked that one plenty); this one's a good 8 oz lighter than my previous Vela and something about the Champaigne Gold finish just works for me... anyway, I'm happy to have one back in the fold.

Looks like my new blue one needs a nut, low E and A are cut too low. I’ll take it to a guy (for a real Bone one”who’s done some work here for me in town before. My Mentor shared with me today he thought he had heard that it might have been a bit more common of late.Anybody else having any nut issues with their new 20 or 21 Velas? Just wondering.

Update on this Blue beauty.. Thought we had a nut problem, gave the guitar to my luthier ( Manuel Delgado in Nashville) for a nut evaluation and set up . As I could get a setup, then in a day it would settle unplayable for the buzzing.Come to find out the pitch of the neck is off……Back to The Guitar Santuary it goes. So far they have been ok to deal with. Thank you Brian Meador at GS. I am bummed but as it’s a set neck, well you know…..
