Well, my favourite band was playin' at my local haunt. Fabulous band, very SRVish and blues orientated.

I've been able to build a bit of a friendship with them and the "guitar man" was curious about PRS.

So, I have one of the "tree of life" from 2011, there were only 100 made, 50 in blue and 50 in black gold.
I have a black gold one, never gonna sell it, never been out of it's case, never been played.

anyway, I took it down for him to check it out. he played it all nite. I gotta tell u it kicked a$$, way, way better than his strat and whatever else he was playin'.
and dude, it looked incredible, I've never seen anything to compare. I had to step back and ask myself ... is that mine? hey I rock.

I was able to play the third set with them and used his strat.
I think I startled them, i'm really aggressive when I play ... sit up and take notice.

made them play "balltrap" by Rod Stewart ... this is a totally raw, visceral piece of rock and very incorrect for today's sensitive lame-asses.

it was all good. had a great time, man that PRS just kicked butt.

Sounds like a good night. I can just imagine the ToL sitting in her case going "play me, play me, play me, play me, play m.... f#@$ yeah!" :)

yeah, it was so cool. and I've still never played it.
but, I trust this guy and it sounded so good once he got used to it and got it dialed in. wouldn't give it back. maybe a convert.
i'm not a technical guy ... I really don't even know what pickups are in it ... will have to check my COA, but it was Sweeeeeeeet.

Very cool that you took it out and let someone do a show with it.

Ice cold! What a treat! I went to a show last night too... great band but the guitarist totally needed a Hollowbody II instead of that 335 he was rockin'.

thx. it was difficult at first, the guitar is pristine but I knew he would be careful with it and I don't get many chances to play anymore.
I really only took it down there to show him, didn't expect he would want to play it, but it's all good.

when I say that i'm really aggressive when I play, I'm only referring to my style, not the way I treat the instrument (or other people for that matter). I've always had a light touch and i'm physically very gentle with my guitars.
