Another moon landing for... some people not to believe

Morena Baccarin from the TV show V or the green dancing lady from the original Star-Trek
Didn't see V, and not a Trekie... but she was meltdown hot on The Mentalist. In fact the whole premise of her character was that she was so beautiful she was throwing him off his game, which was normally unflappable. No pun intended. I've seen her on several things but on that show... WOW!

Would 1,000,000 years BC be considered Science Fiction?

Pin on glamour
Ummm...I'll allow it!!!!!!

For sure! I loved the Mentalist, especially when she was on!

I always figured we are proof enough and if not enough, look up into the sky. How can this all be for only me?
Space is just a deception. Rockets can't go up that high because the air gets too thin to push off of. If you were in a vacuum, there would be nothing to push off of to propel yourself. This is just physics. The speeds they say the craft is going is totally unreasonable. There is no way to get up to those speeds and then slow down to land.

If you think that's insane, when you see an electric vehicle for the first time you're going to be blown away. Those dang electric Teslas are able to get from 0-60 in 1 second, and from 60 to 0 in even less of a second. Instant torque is unreasonable but only because we grew up being used to our gasoline cars going from 0 to 60 in 5-7 seconds. Teaching us that we were wrong to set an expectation in stone.

Point being, what we believe as "reasonable" and the "norm" is deceptive.

But the car uses friction from the road to push off of. What about the Tesla in space? That was a real laffer!

You just answered your own question...

The car "needs" the road to accelerate and decelerate, the bigger the car, the more road it needs. While the opposite for airships is true. Airships are engineered based only to rely on their thrusters, reverse thrusters. Thrusters and engine are calibrated for the weight of the ship. Therefore, the goal should be easier to achieve through the air, which is why something like an F-35 can exist in air and not on road.

If you had said this 25-30 years ago, it would have been true but that is not where we are today, at least by public standard. Now, in the air, it is the norm to be able to achieve a full instant stop without stall right from a sonic boom moment. Jets control and operate more like a drone free of lag. If this is true for jets, then it's even more so for rockets as there are way more technology developed and given on craft.

Oh dear... not this again... How sad...

I'm sorry you feel that way unfortunately physics doesn't change with your space fantasies. Enjoy your simulations of rockets going to the moon. Remember the picture when "man took his first step on the moon".........who was running the camera?

ROFL....that's Buzz Aldrin ya nitz.....Armstrong took the photo. If you're going to pi$$ and whine about lies and deception, I recommend you start with yourself. It's been evident your claims are unfounded and lacking in knowledge, this cinches it.
