Someone from the forum I shall not mention for privacy purposes (hint, their name rhymes with "beleventop") very kindly hooked me up with some rosewood pickup rings, I figured I'd share:

Looks good...I initially had reservations about the wood on your blue, but alas, I was wrong...really wrong.

Try two teaspoons, maybe a piece of cloth under each to protect the top.

I hit them lightly with some 1000 grit sandpaper and some fretboard oil from Crimson Guitars. Really improved the surface finish!

I only oiled ‘em, they seem to look pretty good.
