To some extent, I feel a little bit of the same sort of excitement about PRS that Heritage owners feel about Heritage guitars just because they live near the factory.
In most cases, I don't think you can just stop by Heritage to drop off one of your guitars to have some work done but at PRS, they have what they call the PTC (PRS Technical Center).
I recently contacted the PTC about some work that I wanted done to two of my guitars and got my official return authorization number for each guitar. Woo Hoo! Another valid reason to go to the factory since I live only about an hour away.
Currently, I have both of my red guitars at the factory being worked on. The Custom 22 is getting a new nut, setup and a set of 57/08 pickups installed. (Think of Gibson 57 Classics which are wax potted.)
The other guitar, my Brazilian Limited Edition is having the Maple top refinished to make it look as awesome as the other red guitar.
I don't usually try to compare PRS guitars to Heritage guitars because imho they are completely different animals. I like each brand for what they bring to the proverbial table.
I don't like every single PRS the same way that I don't like every single Heritage. But the ones that I like, I REALLY like them and I ain't parting with them.
