American Bridge...

I bought a "US bridge" used and it just arrived... Shouldn't this thing be aluminum? Are there any other tell tale differences between an SE bridge and an american bridge? It is definitely magnetic!

Is the stop tail or the tremolo bridge?
The stoptails are machined aluminum but there are ferrous parts used in the tremolo bridge.

It has the drill outs on the bottom but not that it is in hand they look kinda sloppy. I need to see if the adjusters are metric or standard. There are some extra ridges on the front vs my 2 se's I have but the thing is most definitely very magnetic.

Sounds a bit suspect. Even the SE bridges are aluminum, just cast instead of machined. Can you post a picture? The machined ones are pretty distinctive looking.

I may or may not be an idiot lol. The set screws are still in it and I think that's what is attracting the magnets. I used a smaller but much stronger magnet and it sure isn't as magnetic as the fridge magnet suggested. Gotta get a smaller Allen wrench to take them out to test it.

Fwiw, from the photos, I can't tell a difference between this one and the one on my 25th Anniversary McCarty NF.

Did you buy it from an authorized PRS dealer or used?

IIRC, 2.5 mm allen wrench is what you want to get the screws out.

I had purchased a used bridge a couple months ago. The package was returned to seller without contents. Nobody seems to know where it went. The sellergot hosed. I wanted it so I could clean it at my convenience and not have my guitar apart for any length of time.
