Alternative pickups for my PRS

Sadly it isn't, and those 408 aren't being sold I guess. Weird.

I think it would be a lot more practical to just get a different PRS rather than make a lot of modifications to this one particular guitar.

Isn't there a way to "change" without a lot of modifications?

The narrow field pickups on you SAS 25th are a different size than the 408 (which are different than any "standard" humbucker or p90). No way to switch pickups without some "woodworking" involved. On the plus side, those narrow field 57/08's sound great, are not being made anymore and are really sought after (by some). I had a similar issue with my SAS 25th, although I liked the neck/middle PU's, I just couldn't get the bridge tone I was after, so I traded it for a Studio model (now also discontinued). Still some of those around new, more used. You may also want to check out the Brent Mason signature model too.

I wish PRS was open with selling their parts as Suhr or Tom Anderson.

I really would love to get P24 trem's, Tremolo loaded in my SAS for example for piezo. :)

I love neck pickup of my SAS. I totally LOVE! Never heard any better from full humbuckers even that jazzy and also that crispy funks. But with that bridge I can't bond up.

How about this for an idea? What if I bought you a set of Seymour Duncan rail humbuckers (if they fit) in exchange for the Narrwofield pickups you have in there now? SD makes a bunch of different thin pickups.

Nothing will have a proper fit as those are the only pickups that are that size, so it wouldn't matter much what was available on the market to buy since it's a PRS proprietary pickup.

Have you played with the pickup heights at all to get what you're after? Sometimes it can alter the tone quite a bit.

I hate seymour duncan. I really wish that PRS would have done different kinds of narrowfields. At least one other option like, hotter output bridge.

Yes pickup heights I've tried everything I guess :)
