I know a lot of people have used the schaller M6 locking tuners as a direct drop in for SE models. But allparts also has a set (probably chinese) that are clones of the schaller for 1/2 the price. Has anyone tried them and if so how are they? I tried to find reviews and i did find a few which were favorable, but 2 or 3 reviews doesn't exactly give a general consensus. By the way, they are 18:1 vs schallers 16:1 which I like. But while i'm a firm believer that the old addage "you get what you pay for" is no longer valid a good part of the time, at half the cost i know that the chances they are junk are certainly possible. So if anyone has used them i'd like to hear your thoughts. thanks.
