I didn't either. Turns out it is from something called Metallica Blacklist. Not sure if Metallica initiated this project, but it is 53 different singers/bands covering songs off the Black album.

They did. It was a companion to the black album re-release. I love Ghost's cover of "Enter Sandman" - got to see them play it live on the only tour they played it last year.
