All about bicycles

The pic with the dirt jumps just triggered my inner 17yr old BMXer.:)
Me too! Well, maybe my inner 14 year old BMXer.

I actually rode off and on up to 30! I’d hit the trails and skateparks with a few of my friends that kept it up.
The only real reason I stopped - twisted my ankle at the trails on an Saturday and couldn’t go to work on Monday. Still miss it and can “spidey sence” trails or interesting terrain everywhere I go. :p:D

Love these photos. So did you put the basket on after these were taken? You know the one your small wrinkly friend sat in, wrapped in a bed sheet.

Hope you’re ok. I frequently warn people that exercise is bad for your health.

Circumnavigation of Delta B.C. today. Didn't get to do it a while back because of headwinds.
One of my weather apps said it would be 20C max today... NOT! It peaked around 25C and I was a dumbass and didn't wear shorts. Idjit!

Looks like a fantastic ride and what a great day to be out almost anywhere on the West Coast today! 33C in the SF Bay Area.

Never knew that it got rural that quickly south of Vancouver, despite having spent time in the area (a month at Malibu Camp on Princess Louisa Inlet and most of a year consulting at Vancouver General Hospital)

33C is... WOW!!!
I've been to Malibu/Princess Louisa! We went in a 40' cruiser, and to the end of the inlet which was frozen solid. Couldn't get to the end.
We docked at Malibu and they let us stay overnight. Next day we took a tour of the facility. WOWZERS!
Freakin' amazing site. Everything is built to top class standard. I geeked out in the comms room where you could see a live camera feed from the power station across the bay! Massive undersea cables laid there!
Cheers mate, It's rare to meet someone familiar with the location...

Back a half century ago there was almost no development on the Jervis Inlet or boaters up that far and Malibu felt totally removed from the outside world. I was on work crew for the camp and we took care of 300+ campers but had one day per week when the campers got box lunches and dinners and after breakfast we got the day off. We took all the camp's ski boats to end of Princess Louisa and got in more skiing in one day than a camper could get in their week. I'd learned to slalom earlier that summer and was in heaven.

So cool...
Apparently that rock wall area can be over 500' deep!
We traversed the rapids at night to get in there which was a bit of a white knuckle affair. The custodian came out to see just who was being crazy enough to do it. :D

That's gutsy! Wonder if you were going upstream or downstream as the rapids went in both directions depending on the tides.

We heard that when John Wayne would bring 'The Goose', his converted WWII mine-sweeper, into Princess Louisa thru that area that they'd wait the tides out till there was no flow, apparently a tight fit even with no current.

Yeah, we went in during outflow, so against the flow. We had two guys at the bow port and starboard looking down for rocks etc.
The next morning we went to check out the falls, but we couldn't get close because the fresh water from the falls had frozen on top of the heavier salt water.
We went hard/fast at the edge of the ice and then turned sharply. The waves from our wake made the ice crack for a hundred feet or so which was an amazing sound!:D:cool:

As the temp drops, and after a fair amount of rain the leaves are falling.
The weather app said partly sunny with a high of 15C. Humbug! I threw on 3 long sleeve layers and that was "just" enough. 22km quickie ride.

It's mushroom season again...

Ruh roh...

The sign was right. Longest and deepest yet...

The train was stopped with the massive diesels idling...

Don't have a cow man...

Where's the saw when ya need it?

This leaf looks like it's suspended mid air... Spiders are tryin' to fool ya...
