alder verses hog maple

I've seen some 305s posted that have the hog maple body combination and I am very
Curious how the tone differs from alder body 305s.

I have a couple of 305s now and I do like the larger scale. I'm also reminded how hard it is for a split or tapped humbucker to pull off a single coil tone. I haven't been a single coil guy for a long time but I am digging the 305 for sure.

So let me know opinions on this alder verses hog maple thing. Thanks.

Don't have a 305 but from my CE experience I want the Alder, hands down.
