There were only 20 produced in 2009, African burled mahogany single piece top, African Korina wood neck and back, Dragon II pickups....where are they? Who likes them? Saw a couple on Ebay recently.

I played two of them and quite liked them. The only thing that kept me from buying one of them was that I tried a Dirty 100 the same day - I was close to buying both but decided not to be greedy.

I just noticed this was your first post: Cheers mate.

Thanks much for the hospitality. I really like the fact that the African Queen has a single piece top and that it is not the typical ultra curly PRS....although I LOVE those as well! Think I'll buy one.

Very interesting. Pics and a tone report when you get her! Welcome!

OK. I like the resonance of the instrument when unplugged. Very nice and even response. I'm not 100% sure about the Dragon lls so we will need more time to evaluate further. Sounds very nice through both my '80 Mesa Mark ll and my PRS Dallas...very lightweight and comfortable....so far pleased. How do I post a photo? The photos are on my laptop but when I hit the "insert image" above I'm asked for a URL.......help please.

The one I just bought was described as having Dragon II's...Can anyone verify? Rather esoteric model but then aren't we all a bit esoteric anyway???? Ha

My photos are JPEGs but forum asks for URL.....forgive an old man.....how do you creat a URL from a JPEG?

You have to put the photo somewhere on the internet - many people here create a Photobucket account to do that. Then the URL is the place where the picture is stored. Once you upload the photo, it will nicely tell you the URL which you can copy and refer to here.

Post from the dead. I have had one of these for while. Just adding the two cents that my hang tag says the pickups are "African Queen Neck" and African Queen Bridge"

… my '80 Mesa Mark ll and my PRS Dallas...
I like how you roll. This is an ‘89 MkIII and a Super Dallas…
