Adding to the family…

I’ve been busy switching out gear over the past couple of days. Sold my Holcomb SVN to help out my daughter with daycare and then turned around bought the 277 (who needs that extra string anyway). I also sold an Orange Super Crush 100/PPC 212 Open Back cab to help fund the Archon 50.

Roughly about 10 years ago, I bought an Archon 25 combo and I was so excited about that amp. Sadly, it stopped working after a day and a half. PRS/American Musical Supply sent me a replacement and that amp only lasted a day. Talk about a bummer as every amp I bought since then didn’t have any issues. After 10 years, I hope this Archon works out for me. I have it plugged into a Furman Surge Protector (something I didn’t have 10 years ago) and now I look forward to many loud, happy days ahead.

Archons are (usually) great!

Bummer about those USA Archon 25 combos long ago; wonder if they were from a bad batch. Mine's a 2019 and fortunately has been bulletproof in the year I've had it.

It was a bummer because I was so excited about having that amp and it was perfect for the situation at the time. Everyone from PRS I talked with was super helpful with my issue but in the end, I chalked the experience as a stroke of bad luck.
