Got my first PRS today. A CE24. First impressions are all 100% positive. It needs zero setup and I’m picky so was not expecting that. The neck is incredible. Tuners are nice. Trem works well and stays in tune so far. It’s thinner than I was expecting. Resonates like a good semi-hollow. I honestly didn’t think I would like the pickups as much as I do. We’ll see if that first impression holds up. Anyway, I joined the forum because I find them useful and because guys like to be in “clubs” I guess. I was looking at the SE line back in late 2016 but only liked the sound of one SE that I played. It was a SE Custom 22 semi hollow. But I didn’t love the neck so I passed. Fast forward to now and the American Pro II Strats caught my attention. Was about to order one but I already have a Strat that I like. Figured I’d try something different. Happy so far.

It’s a 2020. Yes that’s it in my avatar. Got it from Sweetwater. Can’t post pics here yet because I’m new and don’t have 3 posts yet. Tone is great. I have a Line 6 Helix running though stereo powered monitors at home so I can dial up any tone I want. Sounds really good. I’ve only tried it with 4 of my main presets so far. Plexi, Fender Twin, AC30, and Grammatico La Grange.
 
Congratulations! That was precisely the first PRS I was planning to buy when I joined the forum earlier this ear. I was so used to thinner necks and loved the pickups so much, that I thought it would be perfect for me. Meanwhile, I found out that I liked the pattern regular much better.
