I soon will be the owner of a 2015 SE A20e - just ordered it yesterday, got a great price on Reverb. It pays to negotiate! One question - I came across both A20e's and AX20e's while searching. I know the A20e has the fan bracing, so i thought it might have a better sound, but not really sure. Also - what gauge strings are recommended? Does having the fan bracing make the top a little less strong than traditional X bracing- perhaps needing lighter strings?

Fan bracing doesn’t weaken the top. You can use whatever strings you like best.

I have the AX20E, haven't played the A20E. They come with 12s for the string gauge on both, so if you like the sound and feel with those that's a good choice. If you don't like it, experiment :). Welcome to the forum!
