It's 30 years for PRS. Thought it would be interesting to share the top 3 things you like about PRS guitars.

My top 3:
- The amazing range of woods and inlay materials available, albeit some only through private stock. Not possible with some other major brands.
- The passion the founder has for guitars and constant improvement. Rubs off across the company, surely.
- Split between the fact that they're visual art, and that they have achieved their own signature tone (violin tone as I deem it).

I met Paul a little over a year ago, and I'll say again what I said to him then - Thanks, Paul, for the SE line, they make a huge difference for us young guns who need reliable, good sounding instruments, and my SE guitars and amp really mean a lot to me.

I won't go on about specific features that make PRS products great, because the bottom line is that Paul and the company really care. About the quality and usefulness of their products, and ultimately about the experience of the people that use them. I'm impressed that the company takes the initiative to make sure that ALL of their instruments can excel at any job, in any environment - gigs, studio, touring - top to bottom, there are no compromises. Thanks for that, and Happy 30th PRS!!!

for me it was like magic when the first CU24 hit the scene 30 years ago
and still is every time they concoct a new model so it boils down to:

Aesthetics and feel (birds,top, binding,neck)
playability
amazing tones

Their (his) zeal to continuously innovate and improve.
The obvious love for the art of the product.
The incredibly high standards of manufacture that prevail throughout the line.

-Tone
-Feel
-Detail & quality of construction

I would love USA made PRS guitars if they only came in flat black. The beautiful woods & finishes are the icing on the cake, the cherry on top.

I love the headstock shape and the carved tops those shapes are sexy. I love the tone and the feel of a prs in my hands. PRS is the only guitar I look for when I'm browsing.

Quality Craftmanship
Quality Materials
Quality Attention to the smallest of details
Quality Tone

The modern day Stradivari of guitars, IMO sets the bar.

Ok, so I cheated - a little.

Tone, playability, perfection.

And not just guitars...the amps are just as much works of art.

There are so many reasons it's hard to pick just three but here goes.

1 - body shape/carve styling. It's the sexiest guitar body, IMO.
2 - the tone/playability. I feel so connected to a PRS when it's in my hands; both physically and audibly.
3 - the overall care and attention to detail. When you look at a painting, you know every single brushtroke was given thought. That's what I think of when I look at a PRS. I know no matter what detail I look at, there was considerate thought put into it.

These combined with the fact that so many songs I used to listen to through my teen years were played on PRS's (311 and Incubus just to name a couple). PRS's are nostalgic for me and remind me of wonderful times in my life.
