Now THIS is how we quarantine. Halal lamb loin chops, pan seared, with a garlic/bay leaf gravy, over rice, with home made potato soup and a mix of broccoli, baby carrots and onions. A couple of adult beverages to round it off, and there we are. :p

Thanks for allowing me to bore you all with this stuff.

Somehow this ended up being more stressful than it should have been. But, we have garlic parmesan wings that were slow roasted and then finished in the air fryer. Butter sauteed broccoli and the leftover potato soup from last night. And......a cheap a$$ beer to make me feel like I am doing something.

The food looks great, but that beer is a party foul. C'mon man, good food deserves a quality beer!
This is a world wide pandemic, and I am a NON-essential business who has been legally shut down for a couple of months now. Also an alcoholic. So, I will take what I can get to keep going at this point. :(

That trick of slurping the yolk out of the cracked egg with a plastic bottle instead of separating it on the way down is sheer genius! Cooking is one of the very best things to do right now.
That ABSOLUTELY DID NOT work for me :( I had to go back to my tried and true shifting it from one side of the shell to the other technique.

Greetings from quarantine. Tonight ended up being turkey burger night. Seasoned with "amazing burger" seasoning as turkey doesn't have as much natural flavor as beef. Then add bacon (center cut), mild cheddar, one egg (over medium with a nice drippy yolk), romaine, tomato, and dill pickle slices. Throw it on Martin's potato rolls with a layer of mayo, and it turned out perfectly. When the yolk breaks and it blends in with the mayo it creates a great, complimentary sauce for the meats and cheese.

Well I've never worked out how to separate eggs at all... my wife has baked enough to have it down pat, so I just leave that to her when it needs to be done. We're both pretty good in the kitchen and we each have our specialties. Maybe in a day or two I'll stumble back across my phone, which has some photos of whatever the heck I cooked last. That was Friday. We front-loaded the weekend with cooking and there have been a lot of holiday weekend libations in between...

I may flame up that grill in the next day or two. Stumbled across some baby back ribs at a really good price so ..... I mean ..... sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. :D
